Len does not like Naniboujou; he says that there is nothing to do. He's right, of course, but that's why I do like it. And this difference of opinion is why I go there all by myself, to spend time reading, walking in the woods, eating, etc. It's great.
The lodge was built in 1929 as a summer retreat for the rich and famous. Unfortunately, the crash of that year ended those plans, and it is now a retreat for the moderately well-to-do and not necessarily famous.
